What we collect

Your account (email or the Google/Apple identity you sign in with, handled by Clerk), what you type into the game, the characters you create, optional selfies you upload to cast yourself, purchase history, and basic device and usage information needed to run the service and prevent abuse.

AI providers process your content

Off Script generates its story and pictures live. To do that, the text you write and the scene descriptions the game builds are sent to third-party AI model providers, currently OpenRouter (text models), ApiMart (image models), and Venice (image models). These providers process the content to return a result; we choose providers and settings that do not retain or train on your content where that option exists. Do not enter information about real people.

Selfies

Uploading a selfie is optional. If you do, it is used only to create your in-game character. The original photo is deleted after that generation job finishes. The structured description of your appearance, the approved character art, and images derived from it remain until you delete the character, the season, or your account. Selfie processing may be treated as biometric data in some jurisdictions; you will be asked for informed consent before upload, and the feature may be unavailable in some states.

What we keep and for how long

Story transcripts and generated art stay until you delete the season or your account. Technical request logs (model, cost, latency, failure class; never your text or images) are kept for 90 days. Billing records are kept as long as the law requires.

Payments

Web purchases are processed by Stripe; purchases inside the Android app are processed by Google Play. We never see your full card number.

Analytics and crash reporting

Your dialogue, stage names, secrets, selfies, and generated art never enter analytics or crash tooling.

Your choices

You can delete a season or your whole account from inside the app, or from this page. Deletion removes your transcripts, characters, and generated art; purchase records are retained where required.

Children

Off Script is for adults only. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
